Murray State basketball chasing history
The Murray State men's basketball team will play in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday in Indianapolis.
Only twice has a 15th seed reached the Sweet 16, with Florida Gulf Coast in 2013 and Oral Roberts last year the highest seeds ever to win two games at the Big Dance.
The No. 7-seeded Racers hope to achieve that history on Saturday when they face No. 15-seeded St. Peter's at 7:45 p.m. EST in the NCAA Tournament second round.
The Racers are coming off a thrilling 92-87 overtime win over No. 10-seeded San Francisco in the first round of the tournament on Thursday night in Indy.
Playing on a Thursday and then on a Saturday is nothing new to the Racers. They had to do that during the Ohio Valley Conference part of their schedule almost every week.
"Of course, we're on a 21-game win streak with that schedule. So, I feel like it's just something that we just got to continue to keep doing what we've been doing."
